While the book review is only one part of your solid marketing plan, it is a critical component. Mark my words, it is a very tough audience out there. I see this on a daily basis. With the overwhelming influx of Ebooks in addition to regular print, readers are more cautious and picky than ever. if they are going to spend their hard-earned money on a book, they want it to be fresh and unique. Something that they have not seen before. If they are going to take a chance on you and your work, they need to know that there will be a reward in return.
